MY STYLE FIX: A NYFW PEPLUM DRAMA

Although peplum can be very ladylike and soft, an edgier interpretation of the classic silhouette can be seen in modern designs.
By simply exaggerating the hem much drama is created giving this staple an updated feel versatile enough to wear to fashion's main event NYFW.

MY STYLE FIX: NYFW DENIM OVERALLS

Overalls are no longer regulated to snot-nosed, booger picking, cootie carrying preschoolers running wild on the playground.
This piece is quickly becoming a closet staple for every man, woman, and child, and is no longer exclusive to the agriculturally savvy.
Overalls are clearly not just the uniform of the manual laborer, as I wore mine to one of fashion's biggest events, New York Fashion Week.
Check out the video below to see my NYFW look featured by Tresemme.

MY STYLE FIX: FAUX FUR & PINK DRESS

I'm pretty sure this may have been the only time all season where  sweaty coochie be damned I wore tights.
During New York Fashion Week (NYFW) I had to travel all over the City to attend various runway shows and needless to say, the notion of freezing my exposed arse off did not appeal to me.
I'm pretty sure that tending to a frozen vagina would've distracted from the goings on on the runway so, I covered up to thwart the deep freeze.
Surprisingly, the sweaty scenario that I anticipated didn't come to fruition and I managed to stay warm and dry. Thank God for tiny miracles.
Have a great weekend! Thanks for dropping by<3

MY STYLE FIX: LACE, LEATHER, & FUR

It's so funny and tragically ironic, but with all the events taking place during New York Fashion Week (NYFW), I always felt like I had nothing to wear despite a closet full of clothes, many of which are brand spanking new with tags to boot.
Many a day I'd sooner throw my hands up and opt for nudity had it not been for that pesky desire to make a good impression, as opposed to traumatizing attendees with gratuitous displays of cottage cheese.
So as my less than perfect birthday suit was off the table, I had every intention of purchasing new outfits with a callous disregard for the good options that I already owned.
Nevermind all the children starving to death and without any options let alone the ability to fill a frivolous self indulgent void, and here I am professing that I needed things that I already have.
So leave it to Mother Nature with all her irreverence for our superficial needs, to use an impromptu blizzard to bestow upon me some perspective. Forced to make it work with what I had, I was reminded that it's not what you wear it's how you wear it that matters.
Enjoy your day! Thanks for stopping by<3

MY STYLE FIX: NYFW BOYFRIEND JEANS

I don't know if you've heard, but a blizzard slammed into the east coast and damn near put the kibosh on New York Fashion Week (NYFW)and anyone who dared to venture into the elements unprepared.
Not one to let some raging lunatic literally rain, or more approximately snow on my parade, so against better judgement I decided to wear my stiletto heeled bootie in spite of the obvious threat to my neck should it make contact with the ice covered pavement.
After all, on this particular day, I conceded my skirt to Mother Nature on account of the biting temperatures. So, I wasn't about to let her take my spirit too, and shame me into flats or shoes with any type of grip.
I refused to sacrifice my style in order to play it safe and avert succumbing to the pull of gravity. However, I did have a plan, as if anything short of teleportation would've improved my situation, but it was a plan nonetheless, which judging from my intact tokus may have truly saved my arse.
Check out the interview I did with +The Huffington Post below to find out the trick I used to stay upright on the ice during NYFW, and watch the Style and Beauty Editor Miss Julee's highlights from NYFW.

MY STYLE FIX: EMBELLISHED DRESS

Happy Thursday! Believe it or not, I'm still riding high off of New York Fashion Week, even though it was well over a month ago. I had so many amazing experiences that would make any fashion lover just die, in my Rachel Zoe voice.
I mean, attending presentations in intimate settings where you're able to get up-close and personal to the designs, and literally reach out and touch the pieces was amazing, and so tempting, but not recommended, as they were attached to human beings who may have been less than receptive to the caresses of total strangers  who seemed more deranged, and less like the enthusiastic fashion lovers that they were.
So, after slipping on a little dress paired with a denim vest and pumps, to attend the By Misha  SS/2013 collection presentation, I knew to keep my hands to myself, as not to be tossed out on my ass for overzealous groping or some sort of sexual harassment.
I controlled myself and played it cool, but my bulging eyes, which honestly was in and of itself creepy, but by no means arrestable, told the story of my excitement to be among such beautiful designs with their intricate details and vibrant colors.
I was like a kid in a candy store, and can you blame me. The proximity to the gorgeous live imagery of flowy chiffon and broccade in stunning shades, was intoxicating.
As I walked around and soaked it all in at an appropriate distance away from the models of course, since I made every attempt not to further frightened the subjects by breeching their personal space, I was able to see the fine work of the designer Misha Vaidya, who I meet briefly and was able to congratulate on a job well done.
Enjoy your day. Thanks for stopping by<3

MY STYLE FIX: ROMPER & LUCKY FABB

Happy Monday! During New York Fashion Week it was important for me to be as comfortable as possible. I knew the days would be long, so the last thing I wanted to do was spend it removing those way too tight skinnies from my crack.
Unless I'm wiping, anything rubbing against my hole isn't my idea of a good time. Besides, I would've been lucky if I had the chance to rip that sucker out considering all the people around. Sure I could've just said fuck it and did just that, but that whole first impression thing would've been shot to hell.
Needless to say, I aimed for comfort in my outfits. That's why to attend Lucky Magazine's Lucky Fabb Conference, which was held right before NYFW, I choose this romper paired with a denim jacket and heels. The crotch area was a nice distance from my sensitive parts, and I was never in danger of chafing to death. Yes, that's been known to happen.
The fact that it was a one piece and comfy was ideal. So, I was able to enjoy my first day at Lucky Fabb taking in the likes of Lauren Conrad, Rachel Zoe, and Anna Sui without having to hatch double 007 missions to pull my wedgie to the side without being caught in the act.
That my friend would've completely taken away from the awesome experience. Anyway, I had my hands full trying to figure out how to use the bathroom without having to get butt ass naked in the public restroom.
The whole one piece thing is cool until nature calls, and you find yourself squatting over a latrine with your outfit at your ankles, praying that the lock on the door actually works, because God forbid someone would barge in and find themselves subjected to such a sight.
Trust me, as I hovered there tinkling for what seemed like an eternity the words "someone's in here" rang out several times unprovoked, just to ward off any potential visitors. Once I handled my business, and my bladder was empty, I continued to enjoy the amazing event that was Lucky Fabb. FYI, pictures from the event will be posted on my

MY STYLE FIX: NYFW COCKTAIL DRESS

Happy Hump Day! I don't know if you're aware of this, but weeks before New York Fashion Week actually takes place, there's so much planning that goes into not what shows you're going to attend, or what parties you're going to crash, but rather, what in Heaven's name are you going to wear.
When I saw this Three Floor Dress I had that feeling, you know that love at first sight, I gotta have him right here, right now, I don't care who's watching feeling. Well, that's how I felt when I saw this little number.
I just knew it would be perfect for any New York Fashion Week event or runway show I had the opportunity to attend. Or perhaps just for lounging around the house, since that was always a strong possibility, as at the time of purchase, I had nothing lined up.
It would've been such a shame if nothing panned out and my cat and the BF were the only ones to see me in the dress, both of whom could care less if I washed my ass, much less put on a fancy dress. It's that whole unconditional love thing, or my winning personality that allows them to overlook my occasional stench, I suppose. Needless to say, the awesomeness of the dress would be lost on them.
However, fashion lovers don't know me to give two shits about me. So, clearly a shower was certainly in order prior to attending anything. A clean body and this dress would be worn to insure that my encounters would at least lead to feelings of indifference, or at best an appreciation for the piece, which only that stylish crowd could embrace.
So, when I found out that I'd be attending Rachel Zoe's Runway Show at Lincoln Center for her Spring 2013 Collection it was a no-brainer. The dress was perfect especially since there was a cocktail reception right before the show, and this dress paired with a jacket, statement necklace, and pumps was ideal for that occasion.
At the event I mingled with attendees and got the chance to see one of my favorite Stylist/Designer put on one hell of a show. It was a blast! Btw, pictures from the show will be posted on my
Facebook Page later today
Enjoy your day! Thanks for stopping by<3
