MY STYLE FIX: HOT SUMMER TROPICS

I have to admit, since summer started, I've neglected skinnies in favor of lightweight bottoms that give my lady parts a chance to breathe.
Certainly, once my body acclimates to the heat, I'll go back to full coverage. However, until then, I'll wear pieces with a loose-fit that won't cling to my body, and promote perspiration in private areas.
As soon as I adapt to the heat, I'll go back to form-fitting, so tight that I can barely breathe denim, like I'm accustomed to wearing.
At any rate, subsequent to that occurring, I'll opt for more easy breezy pieces with appropriate ventilation.

MY STYLE FIX: GLADIATOR SANDALS

Summer is the time to lose those hammertoe causing, neck breaking, ankle twisting contraptions, which we love to hate known as high heels.
In the summer, heels should take a backseat to flat sandals, unless you're the kind of girl who wears stilettos to the beach or platforms on hikes, which by the way reveals some type of sickness.

Summer is all about fun. It's a time reserved for adventures, which can be seriously compromised if you're hobbling around in five inch heels.

This summer, I choose to free my pinky toes from the shackles of oppression, or leather straps depending on the shoe style.
For the next few weeks, I'll wear flat sandals, and I'll enjoy whatever adventures come my way without any painful restrictions.

MY STYLE FIX: DENIM CUTOFF SHORTS

Gone are the days when denim cutoffs were associated with the uniform of streetwalkers, as this item has long since taken its rightful place in the closet of every goody two-shoes and sinner alike.
Certainly, there are those who often make this norm regrettable by constantly exposing their baby makers to old ladies and babies.
However, when worn tastefully, this must have Closet staple can cover your assets and preserve the innocence of the youngest among us.

MY STYLE FIX: COLORED SKINNY JEANS

Happy Tuesday! Yesterday was the last official day of Summer as we know it, and if you're anything like me, a little part of you literally fell out and died.
I don't know why the powers that be came up with the brilliant idea to cut the best season of the year short for no good God damn reason, other than to demoralize an entire population, or perhaps one of those geniuses had a thing against fun.
I mean seriously, if you wanna do some good in the world, shave some weeks off of Winter, add some days to Spring, and leave Summer alone so I can continue to wear bright colors like these skinnies paired with a tee, vest, and pumps without violating any ridiculous fashion rule.
Besides, I need the extra time to go on that random spur of the moment road trip I've been planning in my head, and putting off for that right spontaneous time.
It's just not right, but if the melting ice caps and random earthquakes are any indication, they, the powers that be better be careful because clearly Mother Nature is not to be fooled with.
Enjoy your day! Thanks for stopping by<3

MY STYLE FIX: BLACK WHITE & PEPLUM

Happy Hump Day! I'm taking a stand against Mother Nature. Don't be surprised if everyday going forward I'm showing an excessive amount of skin. Yeah, I'm going out in a blaze of glory, and by that I mean naked, in the motherfucking buff.
Summer is coming to a close, and I'm going to make sure I wear every single skin baring, ass revealing, gratuitous body part showing, outfit that I have before that cold ass Fall air takes over, and I'm stuck in layers, upon layers, of spirit killing, soul crushing, oh so depressing fabric.
I'm not going out like that. No regrets. These checkered shorts that I paired with a cami, and pumps, have been sitting in my closet since the beginning of Summer. As soon as I noticed that the days are starting to get shorter, and the air a bit cooler I reached for them.
If I don't wear it now, my fear is that by next year I would have ballooned beyond recognition, and these shorts would be more appropriate as a dust rag as opposed to something capable of covering my potentially overgrown ass.
They fit now. It's warm now. So, before I lose my opportunity to wear them while I still can, I may just live in shorts, or even a bathing suit despite my food baby. Hell, that little monster gotta tan too, and besides, I can use some color and as much vitamin D as possible.
Enjoy your day! Thanks for stopping by<3
