MY STYLE FIX: FRINGE ANKLE BOOTIES

It's my assertion that the true beauty of Autumn lies not in the picturesque foliage, but in the reappearance of boots of any kind.
As the temperatures start to plummet these flat ankle boots have become my go to choice to ward off the effects of the cool weather in style.

MY STYLE FIX: FALL STUDDED TRENCH

We often have the audacity or massive cojones to mess with perfection and alter a classic that prior to our interference had successfully stood the test of time without any modifications to the prototype.
For years the interpretation of the classic trench coat has been tweaked resulting in amazing pieces like this studded coat that remains true to the gold standard all while adding a complementary update.

MY STYLE FIX: MINTY TULIP MINI SKIRT

The idea of adding volume to your frame is terrifying, and to many the mere act may seem symptomatic of a deeper underlying psychosis.
Yet, in some rare cases as seen in the tulip skirt phenomenon, defying all rhyme and reason, the extra draping can actually be flattering.

MY STYLE FIX: GIRLY ROCKER FLARE

Wearing skirts and high heels doesn't mean that you're some dainty delicate flower whose favorite color is some variation of pink.
It only denotes that crossing your legs is a must, and that's only if you have qualms about showing your moneymaker to the world.
Nowadays skirts aren't just meant for those pink loving girly girls, whose lives are in shambles should they break a nail or lose a curl.
When paired with relaxed, casual, masculine pieces, this feminine skirt would be something that even Joe Polniaczek would be proud to wear.

MY STYLE FIX: SUMMERTIME IN WHITE

In the summertime whenever the spirit moves me, I exercise my God given right that's somehow denied all other seasons, to wear white without the worry of breaking any ridiculous outdated fashion rule.
Yet, while that worry has dissipated, it's easily replaced by extreme paranoia about soiling my pristine outfit the moment I hit the streets, and is often coupled with regret about my color of choice.
Somehow, once confronted with the clean, crisp look of all white, I always forget all the anxiety and hyper-vigilance the outfit provokes.
Instead, I never think twice about wearing the fit. I take my chances, being cautious and scrutinizing everything I encounter along the way.

MY STYLE FIX: SPRINGTIME LAYERS

Right now, layers aren't only essential for the obvious reason of hiding the results of my affection for cupcakes as seen on my hips, but they're also perfect for these cool spring days.
These cool, sometimes bordering on cold spring days, definitely warrant a layer or two unless you have an affinity for headlights in the daytime.
I harbor no such desire, so to avert the spotlight, I pile on the layers and cover up accordingly.

MY STYLE FIX: DENIM MINI & BLAZER

Based on the outfit I posted here, I recently won a personal styling session with amazing designer +Rebecca Minkoff, which is beyond a miracle, as I've never really won anything, let alone something so major, the free refill that one time at Burger King notwithstanding.
My initial elation was quickly replaced by nausea and relentless bubble guts at the thought of finding something to wear that would be halfway decent and not a total embarrassment to my entire life.

After all, +Rebecca Minkoff is one of the most talented designers out there as her collections always exude and capture that chic, effortlessly cool edgy style that we all strive for.
So, after much consideration easily bordering on rumination, I stayed true to my style and opted to wear t-shirt and jeans albeit of the miniskirt variety.

Have a great weekend! Thanks for stopping by<3
