MY STYLE FIX: THE LITTLE LACE DRESS

I don't always have the luxury to ruminate over what I'm going to wear as there are often far more pressing first world issues at hand, such as deciding what I'm going to eat or drink once I don said outfit.

Obviously, it's a difficult life filled with the stresses of deciding how I'm going to satisfy my superficial needs from day to day. So, anything that offset those woes are always welcomed. 

I find that having a go-to dress like this lace beauty, which reliably looks good on me no matter how many food babies I've spawned, definitely lightens my burden and takes the edge off.

MY STYLE FIX: SPRINGTIME LAYERS

Right now, layers aren't only essential for the obvious reason of hiding the results of my affection for cupcakes as seen on my hips, but they're also perfect for these cool spring days.  

These cool, sometimes bordering on cold spring days, definitely warrant a layer or two unless you have an affinity for headlights in the daytime.

I harbor no such desire, so to avert the spotlight, I pile on the layers and cover up accordingly.

MY STYLE FIX: SHEARLING JACKET

Happy Hump Day! I really wish I was on the beach right now, sprawled out in a bikini, instead of rocking a shearling jacket albeit fab, paired with skinnies, a blouse, and ankle boots. 

I would much rather be on a tropical island somewhere far away with some gorgeous and ever so willing errand boy feeding me grapes. 

This cold weather and dark before 5pm bullshit is really starting to drive me to drink more than normal of course, because I would be lying if I didn't admit that I already have a well established habit in that department. 

But, that notwithstanding, I would rather not jepordize what's left of my liver due to my meloncholia over this weather situation.

I should be use to this by now, but every season this change seems to get the most of me, and all I want to do is flee for greener pastures or hibernate until Spring with a bottle of whisky for sure to pass the time.
