MY STYLE FIX: THE FLIRTY SPRING MINI

As the temperatures start to warm up, we have the opportunity to raise those hemlines and incorporate mini skirts into our daily looks.
Now that we are free from the Polar Vortex and the confines of all the heavy clothing, we can finally have a little fun with staple pieces.
Transitioning from Closet staples with more coverage to minis which are a bit more revealing is a fab way to embrace the new season with pieces that are more easy breezy, light, fun, and flirty.

MY STYLE FIX: A STATEMENT SWEATER

Choosing sweaters, fall's must-have Closet staple in a variety of colors, patterns, and prints is a fab way to spice up your fall style.
Selecting darker, monochromatic pieces seems synonymous with the cooler seasons, but incorporating bold colors and patterns as seen in my Missguided sweater can be a great way to break the monotony.

MY STYLE FIX: THE ANIMAL PRINT PUMP

No fall closet is complete without a pair of classic pointy toe animal print pumps especially one of the five inch or higher variety.
While those prerequisites appeal to the side of me that like to be tortured, the best thing about this Closet staple is that it comes in a variety of styles which will suit any fashionista's personal style.

MY STYLE FIX: THE LITTLE LACE DRESS

I don't always have the luxury to ruminate over what I'm going to wear as there are often far more pressing first world issues at hand, such as deciding what I'm going to eat or drink once I don said outfit.
Obviously, it's a difficult life filled with the stresses of deciding how I'm going to satisfy my superficial needs from day to day. So, anything that offset those woes are always welcomed.
I find that having a go-to dress like this lace beauty, which reliably looks good on me no matter how many food babies I've spawned, definitely lightens my burden and takes the edge off.

MY STYLE FIX: FLORALS & STRIPES

After exercising the judgment of a gnat by wearing this skirt in a blizzard, I redeemed myself and wore it during appropriate weather.
I must admit, the smiles of approval and looks of admiration was in stark contrast to the disapproving stares I received a few weeks ago.
Suddenly with the arrival of Spring, I'm a pillar of the community, and not the prostitution whore the stares suggested just a season ago.

MY STYLE FIX: PEPLUM AND FLORALS

Perhaps the shortage of flowers on the East Coast at the moment has incited my current love affair with floral print this season.
I mean, at this point, compared to the lush greenery that was present this time last year, it's practically a barren wasteland.
There's barely any signs of life other than the chirping birds who flew all this way and now will certainly starve to death on account of there's no flowers for them to suck, to eat, to live.
Luckily, my fate isn't as dire, and I can always bring sand to the beach, albeit a garden, but you get the point.

MY STYLE FIX: BLACK & WHITE BLAZER

Slowly but surely, with emphasis on slowly, the weather is warming up, providing a few opportunities, albeit minimal, to incorporate some of my old Spring closet staples back into my everyday outfits.
Surprisingly, after spending an entire season stuffing my face with reckless abandon, some of my favorite pieces still fit in spite of my slightly larger frame.
In spite of my newfound bulging parts pushing the limits of the intended elasticity of my skinnies, I can still fit and wear my favorites, subsequent to a bit of breath holding.
After a bit of squeezing, and on those water retention days, praying, I can successfully zip or button most of my garments.
However, while this is currently working, clearly something has to change as I know I'm a cheeseburger away from ripping at the seams.
Have a great weekend! Enjoy your day<3

MY STYLE FIX: BLACK, WHITE, & MINT

Apparently global warming, that whole hysteria about the ice caps melting and drowning entire populations, is a hoax.
It's clearly a blatant untruth, as all the snow and cold weather well into March would indicate that there's no warming trend.
I should be sweating, instead of freezing my as off, according to the experts, who judging from the happenings seem more like hacks.

It's such a disappointment. I wasn't looking forward to the untimely demise of the planet, but I was hoping for some premature heat to justify my affinity for bare legs and short skirts.
Enjoy your day! Thanks for dropping by<3
