MY STYLE FIX: FLORAL STRIPES COMBO

Sometimes when done correctly taking a chance and pairing the most unlikely patterns and prints can be a marriage made in fashion heaven.
Alone, both florals and stripes are vibrant spring patterns. However, to achieve a cohesive look when pairing the two, opt for a neutral stripe that's guaranteed to match any floral print you may choose.

MY STYLE FIX: FALL STUDDED TRENCH

We often have the audacity or massive cojones to mess with perfection and alter a classic that prior to our interference had successfully stood the test of time without any modifications to the prototype.
For years the interpretation of the classic trench coat has been tweaked resulting in amazing pieces like this studded coat that remains true to the gold standard all while adding a complementary update.

MY STYLE FIX: LITTLE PRINTED DRESS

Wearing this little pink A-line printed dress easily communicate to the world that I'm sweet as pie, as opposed to an oversexed streetwalker, which my summer staple booty cutoffs may suggest.
Now, to be fair, in my case, the latter may not be entirely off base. However, I have no desire to be boxed in by my clothing choices. So, I opt to diversify my closet, wear what I want, and keep them guessing.

MY STYLE FIX: SPRING TRENCH COAT

If you follow me on Instagram @ClosetFix or on Facebook you already know that the most amazing thing happened to me, acquiring my milk jugs in Middle School notwithstanding.

I was featured in print in my first American Fashion and Beauty magazine, +InStyle Magazine.
This resulted in several jumps for joy and random hugs to strangers in the grocery store where I first saw my own image on the pages of a publication that I adore.
As a Personal Style Fashion Blogger I couldn't have been more humbled and proud as not in a million years would I ever believe that my dream would come to fruition.
Have a great weekend! Thanks for dropping by<3

REPEAT FIX: TRENCH VEST

Buying layering pieces is one of the easiest ways to get a Repeat Fix, and ultimately stretch your dollar. A simple trench vest such as the one worn here and here in previous post, transcends seasons, and can easily take you from Summer to Fall. That type of versatility leaves you with so many options and endless pairing possibilities. Below are two ways I found to create fresh looks with my trench vest.

MY STYLE FIX: FLAT FRONT SHORTS

I don't know if you've notice, but courtesy of some jackhole CEO, Fall clothing is in just about every store these days, like an ominous dark cloud, or like that creepy stalker ex-boyfriend who just won't take a hint.
It's ridiculous because who the hell is thinking about Fall or anything remotely related to cold weather, especially if you're like me, and you're still waiting for the right time to wear some of your new Summer stuff, like this shorts that I paired with a tee, vest, and flats over the weekend.
Don't get me wrong, it's good to be prepared, but those people who buy all their gear a season ahead kinda weird me out. It just wreaks of goody two-shoes, teacher's pet type shit. What are they trying to prove?!
Sure Summer is zooming by, and we're already halfway into July, but hell, I'm still working on my bikini body, which fingers crossed, I can stay away from pizza, and I'll be able to debut it any day now.
Until then, I don't want to see any fucking sweaters, boots, or coats. For heaven's sake, let me have my delusion that Summer isn't almost over, and I still have all the time in the world to work it out.
Enjoy your day! Thanks for stopping by<3

MY STYLE FIX: OXFORD FLATS & PLAID TRENCH

First of all, I fell off the wagon yesterday and it rode right over me. I ended up at the mall and I don't even know how I got there. Can you say epic fail(SMH). I should be cutting back, but there I was purusing the isles of some of my favorite stores.  At least I was wearing my flats, which now that I think about it may have been a bad idea for my bank account. I mean,I can shop forever in flats because they're so comfy. In heels, it's only a matter of time before my feet start to hurt (I know you guys know what I mean).
Any way, I paired my flats with boyfriend jeans, an oversized tee, and a plaid trench. I even had my big purse with me, which is the perfect shopping accessory. You can always stuff it with a lot of your purchases and sure enough I did. I found some really cute things (a shirt that I was stalking for a while) and that almost makes up for all the guilt that I'm feeling right now. Well all in all, I can say that my weekend is off to a good start! I hope you guys have a great weekend. XOXO! Simmy P.

MY STYLE FIX: LEOPARD SCARF

I don't know about where you guys live, but the weather in my area this weekend was so gorgeous! I had to go outside and soak it all in.

Since it was Sunday, brunch was totally on my to do list! Plus, breakfast would've been entirely too early. I'll leave that early rising stuff to the birds. I on the other hand need plenty of rest. If you really must know, there are many Sundays where I don't even get outta bed much less leave my house. Sunday's are for lazy lounging in my book. Only good food and great weather would've got me outta bed and it did. Since I was still in a very laid back mode I opted for a look that was really casual and low key.

Besides, I really didn't have much of a choice since I decided to head to the park after brunch. I wanted to be comfortable so, I wasn't going to be that crazy girl in 5in stilettos in the park. No way! Jeans,an oversize sweater, a light trench, and over the knee flat boots were the way to go.
For a little dramatics and spice I simply added a leopard scarf. I had to, otherwise, the look would have been fine, but too low key for my liking.
I had an awesome time enjoying mother nature's little gift. I hope you guys had a great weekend as well. xoxo!
