MY STYLE FIX: BLACK & WHITE BLAZER

Slowly but surely, with emphasis on slowly, the weather is warming up, providing a few opportunities, albeit minimal, to incorporate some of my old Spring closet staples back into my everyday outfits.
Surprisingly, after spending an entire season stuffing my face with reckless abandon, some of my favorite pieces still fit in spite of my slightly larger frame.
In spite of my newfound bulging parts pushing the limits of the intended elasticity of my skinnies, I can still fit and wear my favorites, subsequent to a bit of breath holding.
After a bit of squeezing, and on those water retention days, praying, I can successfully zip or button most of my garments.
However, while this is currently working, clearly something has to change as I know I'm a cheeseburger away from ripping at the seams.
Have a great weekend! Enjoy your day<3

MY STYLE FIX: BLACK, WHITE, & MINT

Apparently global warming, that whole hysteria about the ice caps melting and drowning entire populations, is a hoax.
It's clearly a blatant untruth, as all the snow and cold weather well into March would indicate that there's no warming trend.
I should be sweating, instead of freezing my as off, according to the experts, who judging from the happenings seem more like hacks.

It's such a disappointment. I wasn't looking forward to the untimely demise of the planet, but I was hoping for some premature heat to justify my affinity for bare legs and short skirts.
Enjoy your day! Thanks for dropping by<3

MY STYLE FIX: SPRING TRENCH COAT

If you follow me on Instagram @ClosetFix or on Facebook you already know that the most amazing thing happened to me, acquiring my milk jugs in Middle School notwithstanding.

I was featured in print in my first American Fashion and Beauty magazine, +InStyle Magazine.
This resulted in several jumps for joy and random hugs to strangers in the grocery store where I first saw my own image on the pages of a publication that I adore.
As a Personal Style Fashion Blogger I couldn't have been more humbled and proud as not in a million years would I ever believe that my dream would come to fruition.
Have a great weekend! Thanks for dropping by<3

MY STYLE FIX: SPRING FLORAL TREND

Spring is a few days away, yet, you would have no idea in the Northeast, if it wasn't for all the displays of bright colors and floral patterns, which truth be told, at times can trigger a wicked gag reflex, especially when worn head to toe.
Nevertheless, in an open act of defiance, I like everybody else opt to wear these overt homage to spring when judging from the fresh snow dusting the streets, only a virgin sacrifice will be a worthy tribute to incite any rise in temperature let alone spring.
Since murder despite the reason is illegal, hopefully Mother Nature takes pity on us and reward our collective overzealous enthusiasm for all things spring with beautiful flowers.
Enjoy your day! Thanks for stopping by<3

MY STYLE FIX: FAUX FUR & PINK DRESS

I'm pretty sure this may have been the only time all season where  sweaty coochie be damned I wore tights.
During New York Fashion Week (NYFW) I had to travel all over the City to attend various runway shows and needless to say, the notion of freezing my exposed arse off did not appeal to me.
I'm pretty sure that tending to a frozen vagina would've distracted from the goings on on the runway so, I covered up to thwart the deep freeze.
Surprisingly, the sweaty scenario that I anticipated didn't come to fruition and I managed to stay warm and dry. Thank God for tiny miracles.
Have a great weekend! Thanks for dropping by<3

MY STYLE FIX: WOOL CAPE & SKINNIES

The BF would contend that I recently fell ill due to wearing these open toe heels in inclement weather, which is clearly a feeble attempt to deflect from his role as outbreak monkey in the whole melodrama.
Certainly his argument would've been legitimate had he not spent days laying in bed oscillating from sweating to shivering, and coughing up shit that would rival any fur ball our Fluffy could ever produce.
And, in the midst of it all doing my best Florence Nightingale impression trying to nurse my Boo back to health, it was only a matter of time before I too was infected with the plague.
Between the snotty tissues and airborne germs released via the constant coughing and relentless ah-choos, nothing short of a hazmat suit could've prevented what was in hindsight inevitable.
As I was exposed to the bug for days before I attended the Diane von Furstenberg x Roxy Collection launch party in this get up, I'm pretty sure the virus was incubating waiting for the right moment to attack and ravish my body.
The shoes although open toe played no part in the sickness that was to follow, and was solely guilty of giving me a lift when I needed one. Enjoy your day! Thanks for stopping by<3

MY STYLE FIX: GREEN TULIP MINI SKIRT

Making it through New York Fashion Week(NYFW) primarily on a steady diet of the less than appetizing Fiber One bars that they ply you with at Lincoln Center is nothing short of a miracle.
I mean between the long days and late nights it's beyond comprehension that I didn't drop dead from malnutrition or sheer exhaustion by the end of the entire whirlwind event.
Sure the readily available beer I drank most days on an empty stomach took the edge off and distracted me from the pain emanating from my tired feet.
But, believe me, as the libations wore off, I was always reminded that the pulsing sensation was in fact coming from my limbs which had not rested in days.
So, needless to say, despite needing a shot of adrenaline by the end of NYFW, I had no qualms about putting on this mini and partying to celebrate surviving without a stint in the hospital.
Thanks for stopping by! Enjoy your day<3

MY STYLE FIX: TUXEDO STRIPE DENIM

I'm aware that there are two times when white denim should not be worn for obvious reasons, when it's raining or when Aunt Flow is in town.
Well, the latter isn't scheduled to visit for another few weeks, but it damn sure was raining when I decided to break the cardinal rule and wear white to what could've been to my own detriment.
I can't say it was the smartest thing for me to do considering I was attending an event in New York City, and even under the most ideal of conditions that place is far from pristine let alone clean.
But even knowing the risk, I took a chance dodging puddle after puddle until I got to my destination unscathed and spared from the embarrassment of an unwanted Dalmatian transformation.
