MY STYLE FIX: CLASSIC TANK TOP

TGIF! In the spirit of the olympics, I donned this patriotic ensemble, white tank top, white denim shorts, and a red jacket, paired with sandals, because a part of me feels like a motherfucking winner today!
Yesterday, I got the most amazing news! I received an invitation from Lucky Magazine to attend their annual LuckyFABB Conference here in NYC! It's so cray because a few short weeks after I started my blog, the magazine held the West Coast version of the conference in California.
At the time I'm pretty sure I tried to exchange one of my kidneys for an invitation. I mean, don't judge! We all have two so it's not that drastic, and besides I desperately wanted to meet all my favorite bloggers, designers, editors, and movie stars.
Seriously, Zac Posen and Jessica Alba were both in attendance for heaven's sake, so believe me I considered upping the ante to both kidneys, and taking my chance with dialysis for the rest of my life.
It's about sacrifice right, but as willing as I was to harvest vital organs to attend, Lucky Magazine didn't bite, and I wasn't invited. Their loss, I told myself since I don't even drink that much, and my kidney's are in tip top shape.
Well, cut to yesterday, and in my inbox was the golden ticket! I was invited and you better believe I will be there with bells on!
Have a naughty naughty weekend! Do something, someone, anything! Thanks for stopping by<3

MY STYLE FIX: DENIM DRESS & SCARF

Happy almost Friday Day! The other day I boarded the train and after a few minutes, I swear I couldn't feel my limbs, and clearly if I were a guy my balls would've taken refuge in my abdomen it was so cold.
So, before pneumonia set in, I had to do something quick. I reached into my Zara bag, the one seen here and here
You know the same one that if any reasonable person spotted me lugging that thing around, they would be under the impression that I was going on a weekend getaway, the thing is so ginormous, but I digress.
I reached into my bag for my scarf, which I always travel with in anticipation of moments just like this, where some genius thinks it's ok to blast the AC to the point where seeing your breath isn't off the table.
So, I reached into my bag for the scarf, and that shit wasn't there, which wouldn't have been the end of the world had I been willing to cuddle up with some handsome stranger for heat or anything else he wanted to give me.
But, since I don't live in a fucking romance novel, and handsome strangers don't exist, at least on my route anyway, I was assed out!
So, this time after still suffering severe nipple chaffing due to hypothermia, when I got myself together, I was sure to pack a light weight scarf, which I paired with a denim dress and sandals.
Enjoy your day! Thanks for stopping by<3

MY STYLE FIX: RUFFLED CROP BLOUSE

Happy day no one cares about, Tuesday! This weekend, since it's no longer hell hot, I actually covered my gams and wore jeans.
I mean, with the cooler temps, I didn't have to worry so much about ventilation for my kooch, so, I was free to pair jeans with a blouse and wedge sandals.
First of all, with all the BBQ I've been having lately, the fact that they made it over my thighs is a miracle in and of itself.
I didn't even have to exhaust myself contorting my body and violently thrusting my lady parts into the jeans.
Believe me, I'm no stranger to those types of efforts, so when I didn't have to stress the denim to it's limit, and use Herculean like strength to button the jeans, I was pleasantly surprised.
Besides, the fact that I didn't have to cut off precious blood supply to my lower half and jeopardize my reproductive capabilities is a tiny blessing.

Enjoy your day! Thanks for stopping by<3

MY STYLE FIX: LEATHER SHORTS

TGIF! Yesterday I had the opportunity to attend a Gap DIY event in NYC with Nylon Magazine's Style Editor at Large Dani Stahl! Now, I love all things fashion, but making my own shit, what's that?!
I can't even sew on a button much less doing anything involving cutting and gluing.
I wish I did, because I'm pretty much financing my tailor's kids college education with all the alterations he's done for me over the years.
So, of course when this event came up I pulled out my leather shorts paired them with a top, and pumps, and I jumped at the opportunity to lose my broke down Martha Stewart status, and fingers crossed, learn a thing or two.
It was no more than the work of Sweet Baby Jesus himself that I didn't cut my fingers off and bleed profusely all over the table while the attendees looked on in horror.
I don't think that would've went over so well! Thankfully, with the help of the fabulous team I was able to create the most awesome denim cut-offs.
Have an awesome weekend! Thanks for stopping by<3

MY STYLE FIX: FLAT FRONT SHORTS

I don't know if you've notice, but courtesy of some jackhole CEO, Fall clothing is in just about every store these days, like an ominous dark cloud, or like that creepy stalker ex-boyfriend who just won't take a hint.
It's ridiculous because who the hell is thinking about Fall or anything remotely related to cold weather, especially if you're like me, and you're still waiting for the right time to wear some of your new Summer stuff, like this shorts that I paired with a tee, vest, and flats over the weekend.
Don't get me wrong, it's good to be prepared, but those people who buy all their gear a season ahead kinda weird me out. It just wreaks of goody two-shoes, teacher's pet type shit. What are they trying to prove?!
Sure Summer is zooming by, and we're already halfway into July, but hell, I'm still working on my bikini body, which fingers crossed, I can stay away from pizza, and I'll be able to debut it any day now.
Until then, I don't want to see any fucking sweaters, boots, or coats. For heaven's sake, let me have my delusion that Summer isn't almost over, and I still have all the time in the world to work it out.
Enjoy your day! Thanks for stopping by<3

MY STYLE FIX: BANDAGE SKIRT

TGIF! Here's a more detailed look at the night ensemble I styled for my Vedette Shapewear's "I've Got Nothing To Hide" campaign. And clearly, I took that quite literally as the girls came out to play.
I paired the shapewear with a bandage skirt, vest, and pumps. You would think I was lactating the way those puppies looked, for lack of better word, full.
Don't get me wrong. I didn't mind in the least. It's not like I was on my way to first communion where this look could potentially give Father What's His Face a boner that his celibate ass would have absolutely no use for.
I was hanging out for heaven's sake, so having the girls defy gravity for a few hours made perfect sense, especially if I wanted to hypnotize some poor bastard into buying me drinks all night.
Don't judge me! It's his fault for looking there! My eyes are up here after all. And, even if the jugs were pushed up to my neck, my eyes are still up here.
With results like that, it's so obvious that the Aimee Bodysuit is magical. So, be sure to enter the giveaway to have the chance to own the shapewear of your choice from Vedette Shapewear's Basic Collection.

MY STYLE FIX: PEPLUM SKIRT

***VEDETTE SHAPEWEAR GIVEAWAY***
It's Hump Day! For my collaboration with Vedette Shapewear for their "I've Got Nothing to Hide" campaign I introduced here, I styled shapewear as outwear for this day look.
It's kinda crazy, since unless you're a crackwhore stripper making it rain in some local hole in the wall, being in your underwear in public thing, just doesn't do it for me.
Even the skank stripper wouldn't do it either if she wasn't tweaked outta her mind, and needed more loot for her next fix. So, needless to say, I was a little apprehensive.
But, clearly this shapewear can easily be worn as outwear. Trust me, a lot of my other clothes has gotten me mistaken for a lady of the night on many occasions. So, this bodysuit is harmless in comparison.
I paired it with a classic peplum skirt, which is a super feminine, fun, and flirty piece. I added the distressed denim vest and studded pumps to add a bit of edge, and dress the look down a bit for daytime wear.
Wearing the Aimee Bodysuit was a positive experience. Not only did it hide my gut as promised, but it's versatile enough that you can also wear it as outwear too. That's why, I'm so excited to announce that Vedette Shapewear is also giving THREE of you the opportunity to own the shapewear of your choice from their Basic Collection!
