MY STYLE FIX: CAMO AND PLAID MIX

I recently posted on Instagram @ClosetFix and via my Facebook Page a few of my Body Fix style tips and tricks that I use like a magician to fool people into thinking that I have less flaws than I care to admit.
Frankly, I'd take such salacious secrets to my grave if it weren't for my weakness for the flesh and desire to indulge in relations.
Clearly a vow of celibacy would've kept my secret, but I'm mortal and can't even resist cupcakes let alone the forbidden fruit.
However, when I'm vertical and fully clothed to face my platonic mates, I do what I can to perpetually perpetrate the fraud of a pseudo-flawless figure by wearing clothes that fit, for the perfect Body Fix.
Thanks for stopping by! Enjoy your day<3

MY STYLE FIX: TRIBAL INSPIRED SKIRT

If you follow me on Instagram @ClosetFix and via my Facebook Page, on May 13 you had the pleasure or deep disappointment, depending on your affinity or lack thereof for tribal print, of seeing this outfit.
Personally, I'm into this skirt. Unlike some other prints that can instantly trigger a seizure on sight, and should honestly come with a warning label for the predisposed, this pattern is relatively pleasing.
Perhaps the color doesn't lend itself to promoting those irregular brainwaves that'll have you fluttering and foaming uncontrollably at the mouth, which btw the former would be tragic considering the length.
In any event, whatever the case may be, I'm glad this tribal print works for me, and apparently for those of you who saw it weeks ago on my Instagram @ClosetFix and Facebook Page, as evidenced by no pending lawsuits regarding reckless endangerment with my name on it.
Thanks for stopping by! Enjoy your day<3

MY STYLE FIX: SPRING LEATHER MOTO

I've had this +Urban Outfitters leather moto jacket for a while now and the fact that it's not in the back of my closet where all my purchasing mistakes go to die, is a testament to the classic staple that it is.
Whatever I paid for this beauty a few years back is definitely paying off in spades, unlike that stellar college education from which I'm yet to receive any dividends.
The truth of the matter is, this was an investment piece which has stood the test of time and has held up well, unlike that same stellar college education from which I have retained nothing.

MY STYLE FIX: RACHEL ROY FEED TOTE

If you follow me on Instagram @ClosetFix and via my Facebook Page you're already aware that I had the pleasure of meeting talented designer +Rachel Roy at the launch of her FEED India tote bag in NYC.
Generally I don't need much convincing or arm twisting to shop. I usually take to it as if I'm getting paid to spend money frivolously, or so I've been told, and if we're really being honest, it's closer to being lectured and admonished once the credit card bill arrives.
Most of the time the scolding is warranted, considering based on the stockpile of goods that I've acquired, and to this day have yet to wear, I certainly don't need anything else.
However, that type of reasoning when it comes to shopping is a stretch for me, as my thought processes are far from rational once I set foot into a mall. So, I figure since I'm going to spend money any way, I might as well put my resources behind a worthy cause.
Every purchase of Rachel Roy's FEED India bag, provides 100 school meals to children in India. I mean, I'm not going to lie, the bag is pretty cute, so I would've bought it anyway. However, the fact that I'm helping others while I flex my purchasing power is the icing on the cake. Thanks for stopping by. Enjoy your day<3

MY STYLE FIX: FLORAL TRENCH COAT

You can't go wrong with a Closet staple, unlike certain trends, which once acquired, in hindsight seriously made me question my sanity.
I mean after the sheer embarrassment and dry heaving has subsided from the sight of some of the on trend pieces that I've amassed over the years, the regret sets in and I realize the error of my ways.
In my defense, half the time it's not my fault. It's hard not to succumb to the images of freakishly perfect models styled in the latest or hottest whatever of the moment, which clearly fits like a glove.
Yet, on me, the same piece looks like something Anna Wintour
wiped off the bottom of her shoe. However, with a staple item
like this trenchcoat, there's no worries of a shitty fitting,
as miraculously, they look amazing on every body.

MY STYLE FIX: BRIGHT GINGHAM STYLE

I've had this denim jacket for years, and every spring I thank my lucky stars that my hoarding slash packrat behavior has paid off.
Enduring all of the BF's constant pleas to purge my items, which plays more like a fine-tuned nagging technique, making the water-boarding torture at Guantanamo look like child's play, all seems worth it.
As spring returns and I'm able to wear this staple, I feel redeemed and justified that I held on to it in the face his of guerrilla tactics, which would've broken even the most seasoned warrior.
Surely, there's credence albeit very minimal to his badgering, since I tend to save items solely for their sentimental value, that I shouldn't have worn then let alone now. But, he doesn't have to know that.

MY STYLE FIX: THE HIGH HEEL SANDAL

Be forewarned that if you follow me here, on Instagram @ClosetFix, or via my Facebook Page,  you'll be inundated, potentially to nauseam, with a plethora of pairings with my new +ASOS lace-up sandal.
By now you already know based on my predilection to repeatedly wear my favorite pair of skinnies like a hobo with no options, that I practically live in pieces that I love, and everything else be damned.
To make matters worse for those who are already queazy at the thought of the bombardment of images impending, these beauties can be worn with just about anything, and I plan to capitalize on that versatility.
So, until my obsession runs its course, and trust me the track is long, you'll be seeing a lot more of my new favorite sandal.
Enjoy your day. Thanks for stopping by<3

MY STYLE FIX: PINK, BLACK, AND WHITE

I was this close to packing my shit and moving to the land of proverbial sunshine, risking the occasional onset of a heatstroke, if it meant no longer being subjected to NY's never ending cold spell.
However, the influx of seasonally appropriate weather has convinced me to stay put, albeit provided by the same erratic bipolar psycho Mother Nature who has been known to fuck us at will, weatherwise that is.
With some semblance of consistency, I can put away my winter clothes, that I have yet to do on account of Mother Nature's procrastination and not my own, which sadly, the latter is often the case.
Finally spring is here to stay, and I can reach for my light jacket, and confidently venture out, without risking the indignity of hypothermia in the middle of spring of all things.

MY STYLE FIX: SPRINGTIME LAYERS

Right now, layers aren't only essential for the obvious reason of hiding the results of my affection for cupcakes as seen on my hips, but they're also perfect for these cool spring days.
These cool, sometimes bordering on cold spring days, definitely warrant a layer or two unless you have an affinity for headlights in the daytime.
I harbor no such desire, so to avert the spotlight, I pile on the layers and cover up accordingly.
