MY STYLE FIX: A SWEATSHIRT DRESS

There's nothing worse than traveling in tight clothing, plunging into the ocean mid-flight and bursting into flames notwithstanding.
Wearing loose clothing like a sweatshirt dress can be the difference between spending hours on wedgie removal or sitting comfortably.

MY STYLE FIX: SILKY YELLOW DRESS

If you don't have a doting sugar daddy, you, like myself, appreciate clothing that can pull double duty, and be worn in many different ways.
This dress does just that and allows me to diversify my outfits without having to spend what I don't have on more things that I don't need.
By adding a belt and changing a few accessories, I was able to achieve a new look, different from the one seen here, without going broke.

MY STYLE FIX: GLADIATOR SANDALS

Summer is the time to lose those hammertoe causing, neck breaking, ankle twisting contraptions, which we love to hate known as high heels.
In the summer, heels should take a backseat to flat sandals, unless you're the kind of girl who wears stilettos to the beach or platforms on hikes, which by the way reveals some type of sickness.

Summer is all about fun. It's a time reserved for adventures, which can be seriously compromised if you're hobbling around in five inch heels.

This summer, I choose to free my pinky toes from the shackles of oppression, or leather straps depending on the shoe style.
For the next few weeks, I'll wear flat sandals, and I'll enjoy whatever adventures come my way without any painful restrictions.

MY STYLE FIX: LITTLE FLORAL DRESS

Staying as cool as possible during the summer months, along with gorging myself on all things barbecue is my goal for the summer.
Wearing loose-fitting clothing like this drop-waist dress, easily satisfies the former all while leaving space for the obvious food baby that all the BBQ will spawn.
Unless you have a sexually deviant desire to suffocate and overheat your lady parts, easy breezy is definitely the key when it comes to summer style.
I for one harbor no such fantasies beyond the privacy of my boudoir notwithstanding, and I dress accordingly to avoid sweating profusely.

MY STYLE FIX: DENIM CUTOFF SHORTS

Gone are the days when denim cutoffs were associated with the uniform of streetwalkers, as this item has long since taken its rightful place in the closet of every goody two-shoes and sinner alike.
Certainly, there are those who often make this norm regrettable by constantly exposing their baby makers to old ladies and babies.
However, when worn tastefully, this must have Closet staple can cover your assets and preserve the innocence of the youngest among us.
Thanks for stopping by. Enjoy your day<3

MY STYLE FIX: RACHEL ROY FEED TOTE

If you follow me on Instagram @ClosetFix and via my Facebook Page you're already aware that I had the pleasure of meeting talented designer +Rachel Roy at the launch of her FEED India tote bag in NYC.
Generally I don't need much convincing or arm twisting to shop. I usually take to it as if I'm getting paid to spend money frivolously, or so I've been told, and if we're really being honest, it's closer to being lectured and admonished once the credit card bill arrives.
Most of the time the scolding is warranted, considering based on the stockpile of goods that I've acquired, and to this day have yet to wear, I certainly don't need anything else.
However, that type of reasoning when it comes to shopping is a stretch for me, as my thought processes are far from rational once I set foot into a mall. So, I figure since I'm going to spend money any way, I might as well put my resources behind a worthy cause.
Every purchase of Rachel Roy's FEED India bag, provides 100 school meals to children in India. I mean, I'm not going to lie, the bag is pretty cute, so I would've bought it anyway. However, the fact that I'm helping others while I flex my purchasing power is the icing on the cake. Thanks for stopping by. Enjoy your day<3

MY STYLE FIX: DENIM JUMPSUIT

So, it's Fashion Week in NYC, and yesterday was Fashion Night Out! I really wish somebody would've told me that you'd need a shot of B12, Red Bull, and possibly even a line of Meth to make it through the day.
I mean just say no and all, at least to that type anyway, but the snorting option may need to be on the table if you want to get your Energizer Bunny on, and attend all those events. There's a reason why they call it Speed, so clearly there must be something to that.
I could've used it, or a shot of adrenaline because trust me, it's been exhausting running from one location to another, all while wearing my highest heels, which also double as death traps depending on what NYC cobble stone street I've had to navigate.
But, it's Fashion Week, so you throw caution to the wind, as well as common sense, and risk breaking your neck, or completely embarassing yourself, since those types of streets are only doable if you have hoofs, and wearing stiletto anything may land you a one way ticket on your ass. True story.
I've seen it happen. Never to me, knock on wood, but always in slow motion strangely enough. But, even with the inherent risk, you still get out there as your best fashion representative, and you try your damnedest to find a cab!
Only a fool would walk anywhere in that condition. When all else fails, slow deliberate steps have been my fall back when en route to events like the Lucky Magazine Brunch where I wore this Rachel Roy Jumpsuit as seen here paired with a statement necklace, and heels.
Between the lack of sleep, and all the running around, the balancing act is no joke, but it's worth every painful step after painful step, as I've met so many really cool Bloggers that I admire, like Erin from Apartment34
Have a great weekend! Thanks for stopping by<3
