MY STYLE FIX: SPRING DENIM JACKET

Hello everyone! Although it's been a little nippy in my area this week, there's no denying that Spring is here to stay! For me that only means one thing. Well...actually it means many things, but  for this post just humor me for a second. It means, time to go and dust off your favorite denim jacket! It's by far one of the most essential items to have for the season. If you don't have one I'm totally "side eyeing" you right now because who doesn't have a denim jacket.
It's one of those things that can be so versatile. You can totally dress it up if you wanted to go for a edgy cool look or you can pair it with something casual for a relaxed everyday look like I opted for today. I actually own at least three denim jackets (blank stare). It's so weird...every season I panic and buy another one thinking I don't have one in the first place. Hence the ridiculous collection, Smdh (I won't do that this Spring, promise).
This particular denim jacket is one of my favs. All the others are literally identical for the most part, but this one is actually a denim moto jacket which if you ask me is genius. I mean I did say that I like edge and this definitely answers my prayers.

I paired it with a black and white striped top, floral maxi skirt, and flats. Once again you can barely see my feet, but the flats are super cute! The picture above reveals some detail, but you really can't see the entire shoe. So, let me just fill you in. They are sort of a nudish color, really pointy, and get this, they have a little bow right in the front! Yes Please!! I'll take seconds of that! Now that this is my SECOND time not showing my shoes I will definitely try not to make that mistake again;) Enjoy your day<3

MY STYLE FIX: WIDE LEG DENIM

Happy Friday!!! Today I'm feeling bright and cheery, because it's Friday of course, and the weather is gorge.  So, I reached for a white tailored blazer which definitely reflects my current mood.  It's funny...I don't know about you guys, but my outfits tend to reflect the way I'm feeling or, let's say I'm feeling craptastic I'll wear something playful to lift my spirits. Generally, it works! You should try it. The next time you're feel lousy wear one of you're favs and watch the magic happen. Today though I didn't need help in that department.

I paired my blazer with a mustard blouse and Gap wide leg dark blue denim. I just love the look of white against dark blue jeans, and when it's a blazer I think it tends to look really polished. Btw, doesn't it look like I'm floating?! That wasn't necessarily the look I was going for, but I did want my jeans to "sweep" the ground. It's a really cool little trick. Not only does it look better (high waters are never ok), but it makes even the shortest person look taller. I love that!
Btw, I'm wearing round toe stiletto heal platform pumps that have bullet detail! They're black, but super distressed so they look almost dark grayish. Anyway, they're like my little secret though since in this outfit no one will ever see them unless I purposely reveal them. Now that I think about it, the hidden shoe and floating thing is kinda weird, lol. Gotta love fashion!I hope you guys have an awesome weekend! XOXO! Simmy P.

MY STYLE FIX: LEATHER & POLKA DOTS

Happy hump day! This week has been zipping by! I already have so many things planned for the weekend which is usually not the case. I'm not saying that I'm a homebody or anything like that. It's just that a lot of my friends' bday plans are scheduled for this weekend. I'm gonna try and fit everything in, but I think someone may get left out:(
Any way, at least, I'll have plenty of opportunities to get dressed up all fancy. That's always fun! I mean during the week I'm usually very casual a la the outfit I chose to wear today. I paired minty pastel flats with a motorcycle jacket, white shirt, skinnies, and a polka dot scarf for drama. It's easy breezy just the way I like it. Enjoy your day:) XOXO! Simmy P.

MY STYLE FIX: CONVERSE & FLARES

I'm still running on high from the weekend! I actually went hiking and took in some really beautiful scenery. However, just a word to the wise, never go hiking in Converse (blank stare...) Who does that?! I guess people like me who chose fashion over practicality (SMH). That my friends is a big mistake! You can't  see it in these photos, but my freaking shoes were all muddied in the front from the treacherous areas that I unfortunately had to traverse. That part of my hike was a hot ass mess! Initially I was so pissed that I was spending what was supposed to be a lovely Sunday afternoon in what seemed like a swamp filled forest.

Luckily, things turned around pretty quickly which is code for I left that park and headed to another location that was more Converse friendly or drier. It turned out to be an awesome choice, and I spent the rest of my afternoon well into the evening just strolling and stopping to photograph the landscape.
Although I totally wish I would've never gone to the first park as I thought it was really disgusting and I was traumatized from the experience, the last park more than made up for the drama that I initially went through. Yes...it was really that serious. I don't even know what I was thinking. For the most part, I don't even like ANY type of dirt let alone mud. Lesson learned I suppose. At least, even though I wasn't wearing the most appropriate footwear my Gap Flares, simple white tee, and JCPenny sweater held up all right under the circumstances.

MY STYLE FIX: OXFORD FLATS & PLAID TRENCH

First of all, I fell off the wagon yesterday and it rode right over me. I ended up at the mall and I don't even know how I got there. Can you say epic fail(SMH). I should be cutting back, but there I was purusing the isles of some of my favorite stores.  At least I was wearing my flats, which now that I think about it may have been a bad idea for my bank account. I mean,I can shop forever in flats because they're so comfy. In heels, it's only a matter of time before my feet start to hurt (I know you guys know what I mean).
Any way, I paired my flats with boyfriend jeans, an oversized tee, and a plaid trench. I even had my big purse with me, which is the perfect shopping accessory. You can always stuff it with a lot of your purchases and sure enough I did. I found some really cute things (a shirt that I was stalking for a while) and that almost makes up for all the guilt that I'm feeling right now. Well all in all, I can say that my weekend is off to a good start! I hope you guys have a great weekend. XOXO! Simmy P.

MY STYLE FIX: SEAFOAM TULIP SKIRT

SEAFOAM TULIP SKIRT
This global warming thing is really starting to work out. I literally wore this outfit today and winter isn't even officially here! I mean sure the glaciers are melting and the whole world will be under water in a few years. Of course that's really tragic and all, but come on you guys, wearing pastels in winter is definitely a trade off.
I've had this skirt for a while and it generally doesn't make an appearance until well into the spring, but I whipped it out in light of the unseasonably warm weather we're having. It's a tulip skirt for heaven's sake and the pastel color couldn't scream spring any louder. What better way to usher in the season with this tribute.
I paired it with black pumps, a fun black and white stripe top, and a blazer to pull it all together.

MY STYLE FIX: LEOPARD SCARF

I don't know about where you guys live, but the weather in my area this weekend was so gorgeous! I had to go outside and soak it all in.

Since it was Sunday, brunch was totally on my to do list! Plus, breakfast would've been entirely too early. I'll leave that early rising stuff to the birds. I on the other hand need plenty of rest. If you really must know, there are many Sundays where I don't even get outta bed much less leave my house. Sunday's are for lazy lounging in my book. Only good food and great weather would've got me outta bed and it did. Since I was still in a very laid back mode I opted for a look that was really casual and low key.

Besides, I really didn't have much of a choice since I decided to head to the park after brunch. I wanted to be comfortable so, I wasn't going to be that crazy girl in 5in stilettos in the park. No way! Jeans,an oversize sweater, a light trench, and over the knee flat boots were the way to go.
For a little dramatics and spice I simply added a leopard scarf. I had to, otherwise, the look would have been fine, but too low key for my liking.
I had an awesome time enjoying mother nature's little gift. I hope you guys had a great weekend as well. xoxo!

MY STYLE FIX: LACE SKIRT

When I saw this skirt I Knew I had to have it! I mean could you resist this piece?! It's so pretty and lady like (you know very "Charlotte" from "Sex in the City"). Plus, it didn't help that the price was super reasonable.I love a good bargain! So, clearly,I succumbed to the temptation and bought the skirt!
The skirt is very dainty or "girly girl" which can be really cool if you're into that. But, for me I had to rough it up and dress it down a little by pairing it with casual and masculine pieces like the cargo jacket. Besides, I was just running errands. It would've been really strange if I was dressed up like I was going to afternoon tea (blank stare). It wasn't that type of party. so this dressed down lace skirt was the perfect fix for the outing.

MY STYLE FIX: PEPLUM TOP

This top literally sat in my closet for weeks (I do that a lot). It was a total impulse buy. I mean I gotta admit and it's probably really obvious to you guys that I do have a bit of a problem. Clearly,I should control myself better because honestly you guys, I totally didn't need it, but it made me happy at the time (SMDH).
At least, as you guys can see I actually wore the top (blank stare). Yes I have to say that because sometimes my spur of the moment purchases never see the light of day. I know it's ridiculous, but don't judge me I already said that I have issues. Any way, I paired the top with black pumps and a red envelop clutch. I added some distress skinnies to give the look a bit of edge. I actually like incorporating "tough" pieces into most of my looks.
To completed the look and mainly to stay warm (even though it's not that cold for winter) I wore my trench.

FANCY FIX

  PAYLESS CLARENDON WEDGE:
CLEARLY THIS SHOE IS UBER STYLISH AND CHIC, BUT WHAT'S SUPRISING IS THAT YOU CAN TOTALLY SCORE THEM AT PAYLESSS SHOE SOURCE! YES! I'M SO NOT KIDDING RIGHT NOW! THAT SAME STORE THAT WE ALL WALK BY IN THE MALL WITHOUT EVEN A SECOND THOUGHT IS WHERE I FOUND THIS AH-MA-ZING ITEM. I MEAN LET'S BE HONEST THE SHOES AT PAYLESS ARE USUALLY KIND OF CRAPPY AND DATED, BUT THIS LITTE NUMBER IS EVERYTHING. I'M IN NEED OF A FIX!
