Choosing sweaters, fall's must-have Closet staple in a variety of colors, patterns, and prints is a fab way to spice up your fall style.

Right now, while I still can, I'm having fun with layers before it gets hot as balls and nudity is the only Closet Fix that would suffice.  

A few days ago the weather warmed up a bit and I was able to lose the jacket, but not enough to pull out the midriff baring tops just yet.

Clearly, the gradual warm up is nothing but the mercy of Sweet Baby Jesus for those of us who're still shamefully sporting a one pack. 

Thankfully, the inappropriately cool spring weather has given me a reprise, and more time to right this jelly belly that's oh so wrong.

MY STYLE FIX: PEPLUM FLORAL SKIRT

Although New York Fashion Week was dedicated to Fall/Winter 2013 collections, I decided to dress like something that the Easter Bunny threw up, as I'm anxiously awaiting the return of warmer temps.

If you follow me on Instagram @ClosetFix or on Facebook, you already know that I recently purchased this skirt. But, instead of waiting for sunny skies and a seasonally appropriate day to don this little number, I, the genius that I am decided to take this baby for a spin in tundra like conditions.

Now granted, even though it was worn pre-blizzard on the first day of NYFW, I'm pretty sure as photographers snapped my picture for my Vogue Italia feature, they were either in awe of my audacity, stupidity, or huge cojones, because certainly only a big testicled fool would wear a floral print mini skirt in the dead of winter. 

Or, perhaps they simply wanted proof to take back to their colleagues regarding the mental patients on the loose at Lincoln Center. Either way, I'm really happy that they took notice, as I am beyond honored to be recognized by Vogue during one of Fashion's biggest weeks.

MY STYLE FIX: NYFW BOYFRIEND JEANS

I don't know if you've heard, but a blizzard slammed into the east coast and damn near put the kibosh on New York Fashion Week (NYFW)and anyone who dared to venture into the elements unprepared.

Not one to let some raging lunatic literally rain, or more approximately snow on my parade, so against better judgement I decided to wear my stiletto heeled bootie in spite of the obvious threat to my neck should it make contact with the ice covered pavement.  

After all, on this particular day, I conceded my skirt to Mother Nature on account of the biting temperatures. So, I wasn't about to let her take my spirit too, and shame me into flats or shoes with any type of grip.

I refused to sacrifice my style in order to play it safe and avert succumbing to the pull of gravity. However, I did have a plan, as if anything short of teleportation would've improved my situation, but it was a plan nonetheless, which judging from my intact tokus may have truly saved my arse.

MY STYLE FIX: SHEARLING JACKET

It's clear that self appointed fashion Gods, must be comprised of really evil bitches, as only a person with no conscience would recommend clothes for women that require the removal of a rib to fit. 

Only a person with questionable moral judgement would recommend shoes that require the removal of the beloved pinky toe to fit comfortably, all while knowing such procedures aren't covered by most health plans.  

Believe me, I've checked to no avail hoping to have my Cinderella moment with the latest stiletto sky high, fuck me pumps, certified by those Godless creatures as the next it shoe.    

Shockingly, this season that coveted seal of approval have been bestowed upon black and white, which are both flattering on most of us, and not just those enigmas I like to refer to as models. 

Nevertheless, I take such recommendations with a grain of salt as in my world, black and white has always been in, and as far as I know color isn't going anywhere. So, I wear what I want, as should you. Enjoy your day! Thanks for stopping by<3

MY STYLE FIX: HEARTS BOMBER JACKET

I've never been a big fan of wearing tights or stockings even in freezing ass weather that can easily make an eskimo regret his entire existence and pray for shelter.

I blame the whole wool tights under my jeans as a child situation where I'd be beyond warm and safe from the elements, but so God damn itchy I wanted to strip down to my skivvies, which would've been a totally inappropriate thing for an Elementary school kid to do.  

Sure my parents had the best of intentions as the Winter's in NYC can be brutal. So, of course as a parent you literally layered up your kid like their little lives depended on it.    

So, I survived unscathed, but I'm pretty certain to this day I suffer from PTSD. Something about being trapped and suffocating all the way to my death.   

It's not pretty, so no tights for me.
